How do I sign up for a workshop?
Check the calendar for available workshops. Then, make secure payment through the links on our Payments Page via PayPal. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and AMEX. Payment can also be made through the reservations line at 323-459-3400 or by sending payment via PayPal to gogoacting@yahoo.com. Your spot is secured once payment has been made.
What do I bring to a workshop?
Please bring your headshot and resume and a notebook and pen (You will want to take notes!).
What is the format?
The casting director begins with a Q&A with the actors. Next, you are paired up with a scene partner and given sides. We take about 15 minutes to work on the sides and then come back into the room. Your scene partner will be your reader and you will be a reader for your scene partner. You will be performing your scene alone on stage.
However, we leave the format ultimately to the casting director. If the casting director chooses to do paired scenes, you will be paired with a scene partner the day of the workshop. Or, the casting director may choose to be the reader. The casting director will run the workshop to his or her preference. If there isn’t a preference, then the scenes will be performed with a reader (as mentioned above).
What if I am running late?
Please email us asap at gogoacting@yahoo.com and let us know. If you arrive after the casting director has finished their Q&A, you will not be permitted to attend the workshop. Sometimes, the casting director will not allow you in once the workshop has begun. Our advice – DON’T BE LATE!
What if there is a wait list?
If a spot opens up and you are on the waitlist, you will be notified via email or phone call. Once payment is made, you are confirmed. If the workshop is sold out, we highly recommend you show up the day of the workshop as spots often become available the day of the workshops. It will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis.
